Shake that, Baby!

Dance, like love, music, words, art is healing. It's one of the coolest exercises too. To keep you in shape and fit and forever young. Moreover, it doesn't differentiates among people. I've seen a Mallu dancing to Punjabi beats, a Sikh trying to get those complicated classical steps right; probably to impress a girl, but then, that ain't the point mate. It's about shaking that. About dancing. And feeling good inside. Forgetting about the worries and just living in the moment. Like no one's watching you!

So, Few of the dancing styles, I heart to the core would be:

#1. B-Boying: A funky solid blunt sharp street-dance involving a lot of body movements. It's like break dance and hip hop put together. And those freezes in between, oh man, they can kill you. Ultimate, head bang and aggressive. Few movies you can check for this would be, Step Up *off course*, Planet B-Boy, Breakin', Breakout (Final battle scene). Don't forget to shoot a video while you move and please, don't break your leg in the process. Your mom will bomb me ;)

#2:  The Punjabi Tadka: Well, I'ma Punjabi so this is it. We people just need a beat and boom, off to the dance floor. Swinging high and not giving a damn. That's what dancing is about. And we are pretty much famous for being that way. Bhangra and gidda, who doesn't know about them. Nah, I'm not boasting, just stating the obvious. No offence. ;)

#3: The Salsa sizzle: Originated from Cuban Son dancing, it's basically a combination of different beliefs. One of the most sensuous dance forms available on this planet, this one's bound to make you sizzle right in your chair. Super hot, ultra sizzling and seamlessly amazing. I'm gonna learn this, oh yay!

I will be posting some more soon. Stay Tuned!

P.S: The title did what it was meant for. Oh boy! :D Check out 'Little Bad Girl' by 'David Guetta feat Taio Cruz and Ludacris' in the meanwhile. An effing dance number.
Have a groovy one, mates. Keep rocking!

Bhangra is for a drunken night and bollywood for everything else. Salsa is super sexy and Tango is something I loveee. Belly Dancing how can you forget! I have a video of mine doing belly dancing for half n hour, obviously under the influence of alcohol. But I'm pretty good at it!
