Winding Road

Everyday is a winding road,
with something new and something old.
Its troubled water beneath the wooden bridge,
and golden hues that happiness stitch.
Its brain and mind like an empty room,
and heart & eyes like a hot air balloon.
Its sour like lemon & cold like ice,
and sweet like sugar with everything nice.
Its ugly like Betty and fat like Raven,*
and feels like Christmas & tastes like heaven.
Its plain odd painting with no story told,
and endless dreams, all loud & bold.
Because everyday is a winding road,
with something new and something old.

* Betty and Raven are two TV characters (pun intended).
